The Kakatsitsi Master Drummers

from Ghana

The Kakatsitsi Master Drummers from Ghana is a group of singers, drummers and dancers from the Ga tribe of Southern Ghana. 

They have been regular performers at WOMAD, UK, ever since their first performance there with The Orb, in 2013. They will perform unplugged at the front pavilion on both days, as well as leading workshops in West African drumming, song and dance.

El-Funoun dance troupe

from Palestine

El-Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe was established in 1979. Their repertoire comprises Palestinian folk dance, called “Dabke” and other choreography from El-Funoun’s own unique vision of Palestinian dance.

They will give a brief demonstration/performance, before leading a workshop open to dancers of all abilities on Sunday 14th.
